It looks like the happy elves of Glashutte have been hard at work this Basel show making the Easter egg colors on their dials! The new Tetra 2 from Nomos has some funky styles that I feel look great, on the tradition watch companies solid designs. The skinny:

It looks as if the first posts and pictures have made it from the Basel watch show. Rolex watch fanatics can get a picture up quicker than anybody! A new Sea Dweller Deep Sea has surfaced, and what looks like a white gold Submariner blue on blue. I will be there Monday to check the new goods out, look forward to sending info your way soon. CTWG

When you say you are producing a watch, do it! Where is this “Kon” Tiki watch? I see it, I don’t see it? Some site in England has it $3000.00 over the what the retail was quoted to me! What!? Do you find yourself looking at the sapphire exhibition back of your watch everytime before you put it on? Is it necessary to take your watch off during the day to take a peek at the movement? You may be a Watch Voyeur, an addiction we really can not find a cure (yet), still a good dive watch with a sealed back may help you fight your urges, good luck. CTWG

This is another Big Beauty from the folks at Zinex. I call it a “Chronograph For Everyone” because Zinex Watches are big enough for the whole room to enjoy at a distance. Weighing in at 47mm, it packs a punch, as always limited to 100 or so pieces! Making your friends wondering where and how you got something different is half the fun of buying watches. This one will turn heads, a nice offering from a young watch company on the move. CTWG

As you might know I was without a room in Basel last year for all of the first day (I ended up in the Fatherland).
