A Balanced Approach
Learn from the Masters is the phrase of the day! I was jawing with my Master Watch Maker thinking I know all there is to know about watches and he brought up the subject of “compensation”, not money watch nerd, I mean balance wheels. Have you ever checked out a old watch movement that had a steel inner rim and a brass outward rim balance to compensate for temperature? I hope you have better things to do, but if you are the greatest of watch geeks, like myself, this is the stuff that makes us tick.
