G.M.T. Glashutte Style

Sport Evolution GMT

“Glashütte Original once again takes the high demands of its customers into consideration; now premiering the Sport Evolution GMT at this year’s Baselworld, yet another attractive model added to the brand’s striking sports watch line. In developing this model, the designers concentrated on the needs of the modern traveler and realized them in a sporty watch. Thus, the new Sport Evolution GMT with two sweep time zones from the center was developed, a timepiece that can easily serve as a constant companion in all of life’s situations. Additionally, further time zones can be set and read by the rotating the bezel. The Sport Evolution GMT also builds a bridge between innovation, functionality, precision, and striking aesthetics, like the other models of the line, whether it is worn for business, leisure, sport, or any other special event.”

This is a big thumbs up from the watch guy, Sport Evolution was a big hit, the G.M.T. also will be sure to sell like wild fire. With only one real sport style to their name, it truly a nice offering from Glashutte, we all hope to see more sport watches out of the little Germany town in the future. CTWG

Yachtmaster II

Man, a complication, say it isn’t so Hall and Oates! Rolex doesn’t throw alot of punches, but when they do, it counts. Speaking of counts, so does the little beauty above, counts down those Yacht races 0 to 10 minutes, and can be programmed ahead of time! A calibre 4160 movement, all Rolex, make up this new movement landmark. I have not seen the guts to this timepiece, of course, I am eager. Yes, they finally broke tradition and jumped the 40mm mark on this baby too. Proud, I am, proud. I can’t wait to see more, bravo. CTWG

“The Rhine Runs Slow”

As I peered down the Rhine river this year I had different feelings than normal.  I had no Hotel (it went bankrupt and didn’t tell me), no travel accommodations lined up, or access to money for a couple days due to European credit card limbo.  Hmmm,  soak it in, said the watch guy, now we know how our immigrant grandparents felt stepping on American soil for the first time, yes broke and desperate.  So with a sharp tongue and a few contacts later I was a ward of Germany (as close as I could get to Basel) for a couple days.  Ahh travel, be a bum not a tourist.
